Accident causes traffic to slow down through Santa Maria

Drivers heading northbound on Highway 101 might experience some slow traffic in Santa Maria near the Stowell exit.
The California Highway Patrol says they are on the scene of an accident that was blocking one of the lanes.
The accident happened Sunday around 1:40 p.m.
There may have been as many as four cars involved, but they say the lane has re-opened.
No word on any injuries.
