A high surf advisory is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 10 am Sunday

West to northwest facing beaches of the central coast will see surf 10 to 12 feet tonight into Friday morning with sets to 15 feet Friday afternoon and Saturday. The surf will begin to subside late Saturday night into Sunday.

High surf will produce strong and dangerous rip currents along with a risk of sneaker waves and localized erosion at area beaches. Use caution when visiting beaches and remember to never turn your back on the ocean.
