This is Shelby at Woods Humane Society.
She's a seven and a half year-old Boston Terrier mix, and big sweetheart. As a mature lady, she's potty trained, great with dogs of all sizes... and loves cozying up with people.
"She loves to crawl up in my bed and come cuddle with me at night," said Natasha with Woods Humane Society.
"She's very gentle, she's just not a big fan of cats... which most dogs aren't," she said.
As part of her stay at Woods, Shelby's been getting one on one time with a trainer... and is perfect on a leash.
"She's a great dog I love her. She knows most of her basic commands," said Natasha.
Shelby is a loving and independent girl. Her perfect family would be an active couple or family with older children who can give her her favorite thing... time outdoors.
"College kids would be great because she loves to go hiking. A lot of our volunteers take her hiking to Bishops Peak," she said.
And this is Trixie, a three year-old 16 pound Chihuahua mix at the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. She's a beautiful girl who wants nothing more than to feel be picked up and loved.
"She's got a lovely bright colored coat, she's kind of a carmel color with white and her favorite thing to do is sit in your lap and cuddle," said Bobbi Gilman of the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society.
Previously an outdoor dog, Trixie now prefers to spend time inside. She's gentle, quiet, calm, and would fit in anywhere.
"She's good playing in the yard with other dogs, she's good with children, and i think she would make a wonderful family dog," said Bobbi.
