After spending 50 days in the hospital, Baby Ella is going home.
KSBY News has been following Baby Ella's story for you over the past few months. She was born with a rare condition called Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome. Only two out of every 1,000 babies are born with the condition.
After she was born, she had two major surgeries and has spent a lot of time at Children's Hospital Los Angeles with her parents, Brady and Melissa Beckstead. Friends of the Beckstead's say the plan is to stay at the Ronald McDonald house for a few days, until her follow up appointment on Friday. Then, she and her parents head home to Arroyo Grande.
