The Arroyo Grande City Council will consider a proposal Tuesday night, to convert an historic building on Branch Street for the Centennial Square Project.

The project would demolish structures surrounding the Public Works building. That building is considered historic, so it would stay standing.

The conversion would create four spaces for businesses, as well as space for outdoor dining.

The city would have to purchase the parcels from NKT Commercial, for just under $3 million. Tuesday's meeting will begin 7 p.m. at the City Council Chambers.
