Jessica Burns scored the golden goal about five minutes into the first overtime period as the Oaks Christian girls soccer team ended Arroyo Grande's season 2-1 in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Pac 7 League champion Eagles finished the season 18-2-6 under first year head coach Bob Wilson.

AG's leading scorer Nadine Reed left the game for good in the fifth minute of the second half due to an ankle injury.

Oaks Christian, a two-time defending CIF champion, scored 15 minutes in the second half to take a 1-0 lead. The Eagles tied it 1-1 with eight minutes to play in regulation when Elizabeth Heyde drilled a free kick and it deflected off a defender and ended up in the back of the net.

AG goalie Sarah Doughty recorded 12 saves in the net for the Eagles.
