AG golf edges SLO in Pac 7 League Tournament behind Martin's 74

The Arroyo Grande High boys golf added to its lead over San Luis Obispo in the overall Pac 7 League standings by winning a league tournament hosted by the Tigers at the San Luis Obispo Country Club on Thursday afternoon.

The Eagles edged the Tigers 407-409 in the overall team competition. Righetti finished third with 414 strokes, followed by St. Joseph at 447, Atascadero with 453, Paso Robles in sixth at 477 and Pioneer Valley at 490.

Arroyo Grande's Mitch Martin and Righetti's Landon Brown were named tournament co-medalists. Each of them carded 2-over par 74.

Conner Sandman and Cobe Williams also contributed 81's for the Eagles.

Atascadero was led by Tristan Ioppini's 82. The Bearcats were paced by 92's from Scott Rigdon and Cody Autry. Josh Salisbury and Sean Swaim led the Knights with 88's. Jesse Gaitan paced Pioneer Valley with a 95. Michael Zakaria led the Tigers with a 77, while Kush Sikand added a 79. Nick Zimkowski followed Brown for Righetti with a 78.
