The Arroyo Grande High boys tennis season saw its impressive season come to an end Tuesday in the CIF quarterfinals. The Eagles lost 16-2 at Palm Desert, the top seed in Division 2 and two-time defending CIF champions.

Eli Whittle, a three-time PAC-7 League singles champion, provided the two points for the Eagles by topping Palm Desert's #2 and #3 singles players.

The Eagles finished the season 18-2 overall. Whittle, Sean Hollister and the doubles team of Derek Lakowske and Jordan Hayashi will compete Friday at the CIF Individual Sections in Carpinteria.

This season, the Eagles completed their third-straight undefeated season in PAC 7 League play under head coach Lori Hollister.
