The Arroyo Grande High girls tennis team continued its Pac 7 League dominance with a 17-1 win at rival San Luis Obispo on Thursday. The victory extended the two-time defending league champions' winning streak to 29 league matches.
AG, which is ranked #2 in the CIF Division 3 poll this week, improved to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in league matches. San Luis Obispo, which was tabbed #4 in the poll, dropped to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in Pac 7 play.
Sophomore Sophie Whittle, the reigning Pac 7 singles champion, swept her singles sets 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0 for the Eagles. Lauren Hayashi won all three of her singles sets 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0. Alex Mero won 6-2, 6-0 and 6-0.
The Eagles' top doubles team of Amber Domako and Zoe Miller wept their sets 6-2, 6-0 and 6-2. Chelsea Pudwell and Alexis Flood also swept for AG 7-5, 6-2 and 6-2.
