AG tennis routs SLO to clinch third-straight Pac 7 title

Behind a sweep in singles, the Arroyo Grande High girls tennis team beat rival San Luis Obispo 15-3 on Tuesday to clinch its third-straight Pac 7 League title.

The Eagles, who are ranked #2 in Division 3 this week, improved to 14-1 overall and 11-0 in league play. The Tigers dropped to 7-3 in league and 9-7 overall.

The Eagles extended their league winning streak to 35 matches.

Sophie Whittle and Lauren Hayashi won their singles sets 6-0, 6-0, 6-0. Alex Mero also swept 6-3, 6-1 and 6-2.

The top seeded doubles team of Amber Domako and Zoe Miller also swept their sets for AG 6-4, 6-2 and 6-1. The Eagles and Tigers split the remaining six sets in doubles.
