The Arroyo Grande High boys tennis team continued its quest for a third-straight perfect run through PAC-7 League play. The Eagles swept the singles matches and beat rival San Luis Obispo 15-3 on Wednesday. The win clinched at least a share of the title and extended the Eagles' winning streak in league play to 34.
Arroyo Grande improved to 10-0 in league and 14-1 overall. The Eagles can clinch the title outright with a win next Tuesday at home against Paso Robles.
San Luis Obispo entered with one league loss that was to the hands of the Eagles and needed a win to share the crown.
Arroyo Grande singles players Eli Whittle, Jordan Hayashi and Derek Lakowske swept their three matches. Whittle is the two-time defending league singles champion.
The Eagles' top doubles team of Sean Hollister and Tyler Beels also swept their matches.
