It was a tale of two halves for the Arroyo Grande High boys water polo team on Wednesday during its CIF Division 4 semifinal game against Los Osos. The game was tied at the half and the Eagles led 4-3 in the third quarter. But Los Osos, the #2 seed, dominated the second half to beat the Eagles 13-5.

Arroyo Grande finished the season 23-9 overall.

The Eagles, who were making their first semifinal appearance since 2008, had five players score one goal apiece. Taylor Ross, Hissam el-Effendi, Nick Chapman, David Vitt and Nike Valente each scored one time for AG. Senior goalie Chandler Mankins had 7 saves.

Los Osos advances to Saturday's final against the Righetti. The semifinal and final are being played at the William Woollett Aquatic Center in Irvine. The Warriors edged Cerritos 19-18 on a penalty shot goal from Keanu Martinez in sudden death overtime.
