Allan Hancock College Community Education hosting citizenship prep classes

If you're interested in becoming a United States citizen, you can sign up for a free Preparation for Citizenship class through Allan Hancock College Community Education.

The classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays through December 3.

Participants learn about the constitution, government, history, and geography of the United States, as well as the requirements and exclusions for citizenship.

In Santa Maria, classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 to 11:55 a.m. at the UDW Homecare Providers Union Classroom, which is located at 402 S. Miller, or from 6:00 to 8:55 p.m. at Ontiveros School, Room D-18, which is located at 930 W. Rancho Verde.

In Lompoc, classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:25 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church Fellowship Room, which is located at 1000 W. Ocean Avenue.

You can register in the classroom or pre-register in person at the Community Education Building on the Allan Hancock Santa Maria Campus. It's open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
