Excellent pay and great benefits that's what one Central Coast college says it has to offer folks looking for work. Allan Hancock College employs nearly 1,000 people. Typically, it hires between 40 and as many as 75 employees on a yearly basis.
But since the economic troubles, the college has been hiring only around 20 to 25 yearly. Administrators say getting in is quite a process.
Rebecca Alarcio, Director of Public Affairs, said, "It's all about committees, there isn't a one on one. There's a lot of committees that are involved in that conversation about hiring and we have very positives results."
On KSBY News at 6:00, we continue our special series "Getting Hired." See what one new hire has to say about how she separated herself from the pack to land the job.
