Deputies have made an arrest after several complaints of a solicitor in the Santa Ynez Valley.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says its Solvang station has received many complaints over the past several weeks of solicitors selling children's books in the area.
Officials say the solicitors were asking personal questions about the homeowners' children, while also being inappropriate and unusually aggressive.
Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, officials say Charles George Parkin, 26, from Great Britain, was arrested after deputies received a call about someone trespassing in the Nyborg Estates neighborhood of Solvang.
Deputies say after the arrest, they found a Ballard School student roster containing information on students and people in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Parkin was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of trespassing.
Bail is set at $2,500.
