People taking part in a surf clinic put on by AmpSurf were tackling the waves on Saturday.
Organizers say about 20 people were signed up for the clinic, which was held at Pismo Beach.
AmpSurf's mission is to encourage surfing among those with disabilities as a form of rehabilitation and a way to live an active lifestyle.
Participants got a chance to receive five hours of instruction both on land and in the water.
This was AmpSurf's last event for this year.
