An Amtrak train was stopped near Oceano early Monday evening.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office said the train had a disabled engine and crews were working to repair it.
A passenger on board identified the train as Amtrak's Coast Starlight and said it was headed southbound when it became disabled.
A phone call to Amtrak seeking more information has not yet been returned.
