Anaheim man sentenced to life in prison for sex crimes

The Anaheim man accused of sexually assaulting a local girl will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Alfredo Soria was sentenced to over 120 years in prison Wednesday morning in a Santa Maria courtroom.

According to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office, Soria was sentenced for 11 counts of forcible sex crimes with a minor. Of those, eight counts were for aggivated sexual assault of a minor.

A jury found Soria guilty of the charges in January. He began sexually assaulting the young girl eight years ago.
