The Nipomo Dog and Cat Hospital lit a Christmas tree, played live music, and served up barbecue today to raise money for animals.
The Animals in Need Fundraiser featured their 3rd annual tree-lighting ceremony to honor pets people have lost.
The mission of the Animals in Need fund is to provide care for dogs and cats who are brought into the hospital with no owner.
All proceeds go to the animals.
"The town of Nipomo is filled with animal lovers who are very generous," President of Animals in Need Dr. Robin Shroyer said. "And all of us have seen the stray cats and dogs running the streets."
Their next fundraising event will be on June 7th. Tickets for that will go on sale on April 7th.
