Many tails were wagging Saturday afternoon as the holiday spirit kicked off at Woods Humane Society in San Luis Obispo.
The shelter held its annual Holiday Open House.
During the event, pets and their owners could enjoy holiday treats, a micro chip clinic, tours, and even pet portraits with Santa Claus.
There were also one-of-a-kind paintings available for purchase that were created by the shelter's cats.
The shelter's Community Programs Director, Steve Kragenbrink, says, "It's just a great, great way for us to, number 1, say 'thank you' to a lot of our supporters throughout the year, and it also allows us the opportunity to start sharing some holiday cheer with all the animals at Woods Humane Society."
The event is Wood's largest in-kind donation drive.
