Anonymous fan gives local 105-year-old driver new car

One of the oldest drivers in the world recently received the gift of a brand new car from an anonymous fan.

Edythe Kirchmaier is 105-years old, and, according to Direct Relief, is the oldest registered driver in the state of California.

The Santa Barbara resident has been a devoted volunteer at the charity "Direct Relief" for the past 40 years.

Kirchmaier had a 1997 minivan that was having constant issues with breaking down, which made it difficult for her to continue volunteering at Direct Relief.

Her anonymous fan heard about her car troubles and gifted her a 2013 Honda Civic.

Kirchmaier received international attention earlier in 2013 for her volunteer work after she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Access Hollywood Live.

Kirchmaier has been driving since she was 19-years old, when she learned to drive a Model T, and she has a perfect 86-year driving record with no violations of any kind.

She renewed her driver's license in January.
