A very demanding and aggressive armed robber strikes again.
This time he held up the Rabobank on the 2200 Block of Bath Street in Santa Barbara. It happened around 10 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators said this is the second time in the past five years he has hit the Rabobank in Santa Barbara, he has also held up the Los Padres Bank in Santa Maria twice, and a Los Padres Bank in Solvang as well.
FBI Agents have named him the "Armed and Ready" robber.
"He's very aggressive and indicated (during the crimes) that if people wouldn't comply, he would shoot or kill them," said Patrick Conley, an FBI Agent out of Los Angeles.
Investigators said he is unique in that he's able to take over an entire bank of customers and employees by himself, while he cleans out drawers of cash.
"On a couple of occassions he's jumped the counter to get behind the teller window, and a couple times he's stayed in the lobby area and ordered people on the floor," said Conley.
They said he's aggressive, always wearing shorts, and points his gun, while carrying out his planned crime.
"His actions certainly have caused a lot of concern for both the FBI and the Santa Barbara Police, and other agencies that responded to his robberies in the past," said Conley.
The man is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with a muscular build, and is believed to be in his 30s.
FBI agents admit they don't have any strong leads, but are hoping the public can help.
If you have any information on the robber, you're asked to call the Santa Barbara Police Department at 805-897-2300 or the FBI Los Angeles office at 310-477-6565.
