Back in January a robbery occurred at the Texas Cattle Company restaurant in the 900 block of North H. Street in Lompoc.
The suspect revealed a handgun and demanded money from the employees. Nobody was injured during the time of the robbery. Evidence was then collected and sent to the Calirfornia Department of Justice laboratory for DNA extraction and analysis.
After the robbery detectives received an anonymous tip that a subject by the name Scott Harwood was connected to the robbery. Harwood was interviews and denied any involvement.. At the time there was no evidence connecting Harwood to the robbery.
Lompoc Police Department received information on Wednesday informing them that Harwood is a genetic match to the DNA evidence that was collected from the scene. Detectives arrested Harwood on charges of armed robbery and was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail. His bail is set at $250,000.
