The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office arrested Brandon Noble Henslee, 22, of Cambria Thursday and charged him with the murder of Tyler Daniel Hanks.
Deputies found Hanks' body in a wooded area of Cambria at the end of August after he was reported missing from his home. Henslee is Hanks' the half-brother and was living with him at their home in the 400 block of Leighton Street.
Henslee has been in custody at the county jail since he was arrested on August 26 on a parole hold.
The Sheriff wants to reassure people living in Cambria and on the Central Coast this was an isolated incident and that Henslee is the primary suspect.
This is a open investigation and the Sheriff's Office will not be releasing any further information at this time.
