Arroyo Grande city councilman faces judge in restraining order hearing

Ed Arnold, the Arroyo Grande city councilman who hasn't been seen or heard from since his wife and another woman filed a restraining order against him, is set to appear in court for the first time today.
Arnold was arrested last month on domestic violence charges. Since then, two restraining orders have been filed against him, one was filed by the 28-year-old female victim in the alleged December crime. The second was filed by his wife and the order states it is to protect her and her two children.
Today, a judge will decide whether to permanently grant those two orders. Be sure to check back with KSBY.com throughout the day for continuous news updates and be sure to watch KSBY News at 5 and 6 for a full report.
