Arroyo Grande girls and Santa Ynez boys finish in top-10 at State Cross Country Meet

The State Cross Country Meet was held in Clovis on Saturday morning. Six local teams finished in the top-15 of their divisions.

Arroyo Grande freshman Talley Hill placed 15th in the Divsion-2 girls race. Hill ran the 5,000 meter course in 18:16 which was 1:33 behind the winner, senior Sarah Baxter from Simi Valley. Simi Valley won the team title but the Eagles finished eighth. Arroyo Grande doesn't have any seniors on its team.

In the Division-4 girls race, Nipomo finished 11th led by a 15th place individual finish from Gracie Albano. Albano crossed in 18:58.

The St. Joseph girls finished 12th in Division 5.

The Santa Ynez boys placed 10th in Division-4 while Morro Bay was 15th. Morro Bay junior Austin Lay (16:03) was 12th individually while Santa Ynez senior Roberto Bazan (16:10) was 14th.

The St. Joseph boys placed 11th in Division-5.
