Arroyo Grande High School is making the grade. The campus was just named to Newsweek's list of America's Best High Schools.

Arroyo Grande ranked 436 out of 27,000 public schools, putting it in the top 1.6 percent of schools nationwide. Newsweek says it calculates its rankings using graduation rates, college matriculation rates, AP tests taken per graduate, average SAT and ACT scores, average AP scores and AP courses offered.

The school has made the list before but this is the highest the Eagles have ever ranked.
