Arroyo Grande kicks off Christmas season with 8th annual parade

The city of Arroyo Grande is celebrating the Christmas Season. Their 8th annual Christmas parade went through the village on Sunday night. This year, the grand marshall of the parade was not one person, but an entire church. Lead pastor Steve Henry represented Harvest Church and led the parade. "It's a great opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate the season, enjoy each other," Henry said. "It's such a tight-knit community." A tree-lighting ceremony followed the parade. The city's Christmas tree moved this year. The evergreen tree in front of Harvest Church is decorated and lit up as Arroyo Grande's official tree. Harvest Church also puts on a live nativity each year. This year, they're adding both a bell choir and a singing choir to the display.
