Arroyo Grande man identified in fatal construction accident

The man who was killed in a construction accident on Highway 135 on Thursday has been identified as Daniel Toste, 67, from Arroyo Grande.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Highway 135 near West Foster Road. According to a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, a construction truck backed up and ran over Toste. Officers believe he was doing construction work at the time.
Toste was transported to Marian Medical Center, and later died from his injuries at the hospital.
