The San Luis Obispo Relay for Life event has been postponed until next year, but that doesn't mean locals can't get involved in other Central Coast Relays.
The Relay for Life in Arroyo Grande kicked off Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and continues until Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
It's a 24-hour walk-a-thon that benefits the American Cancer Society.
The event is being held at the Arroyo Grande High School Football Stadium.
"We celebrate. We celebrate that we're here, everyone's here together. We celebrate the people that we have fighting cancer, and then we remember those that we've lost, our loved ones that we've lost to this dreadful disease, and then most importantly, we fight back," said Heidi Gavlak, the event chair.
The public is welcome to stop by the event at any time to walk or make donations.
