Arroyo Grande Village Summer Concert Series showcases local non-profits

The annual Arroyo Grande Village Summer Concert Series is in full swing.

On Sunday, locals could enjoy some honky tonk country music from The Swingin' Doors.

The free concert series is held every other Sunday at the Rotary Bandstand in Arroyo Grande.

At every concert, organizers will be showcasing a different non-profit. On Sunday, concert goers could learn about Relay for Life.

"We get together to raise money to help eradicate cancer, and we spend the day really honoring our cancer survivors. They're the true heart of our Relay. Without them, we wouldn't have our Relay event," said Heidi Gavlak, the Arroyo Grande Relay for Life Event Director.

The concert series continues with a special patriotic concert on July 4th.

It returns to its usual schedule on July 14th.
