Arroyo Grande woman found dead after car crash

The California Highway Patrol says an Arroyo Grande woman was found dead in her car early Thursday morning, after she crashed into a tree.
Investigators believe at about 3:00a.m. Thursday, the 20-year-old woman veered off of Stanton Rd. in Arroyo Grande, and crashed into the tree near Lyn Rd. The victim wasn't found until about 5:20a.m., when a passing driver saw the crash and alerted authorities. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP investigators say they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, but they're waiting for toxicology results to confirm that.
The name of the driver has not been released.
