"Art by the Sea" this weekend to benefit Shell Beach Elementary

As Shell Beach Elementary celebrates its 50th Anniversary, the PTO and local neighbors are sponsoring "Art by the Sea," a benefit to raise money for arts programs in the school.

The event will showcase the works of local professional artists, as well as those of the students themselves--paintings, decorative pallet planters, skateboard decks, tire swings, and a surfboard--which will be raffled off Sunday afternoon. Proceeds will support classes in music, dance, and art.

The event is Sunday, November 4th at Dolphin Bay Resort, from 2pm 'til 5. 10 wineries will be pouring, 12 restaurants will supply food, and area musicians will provide entertainment.

Tickets are $40 and available at Shell Beach Elementary during school hours, the day of the event, and by phone at 805.471.8367.
