Atascadero has a new City Manager.
The city council voted unanimously in June to appoint Rachelle Rickard and swore her in Wednesday.
She previously had the position of city administrative services director.
Richard explained the roll of a city manager to KSBY, "Basically I run the day-to-day operations in the city. The council sets the visions the policy where they want to go and and it's my job to go ahead an implement those policies."
Former city manager, wade mckinney left the city for a new position in Southern California.
