Atascadero Crossfit hosts fundraiser for families of fallen hotshots

The 19 hotshot firefighters killed in Arizona earlier this summer have not been forgotten. Atascadero Crossfit hosted a fundraiser for the firefighters' families on Saturday. They put on a workout and car wash, and all the proceeds go straight to the families in their time of need. The event hits close to home for the owners of Atascadero Crossfit. Both of them are San Luis Obispo County firefighters. "It's not all just about a butt kicking workout. At the end of the day, we're a community, we're a team, we're truly a family, and crossfitters are willing and able to put everything aside when someone needs us," said Dustin Birgil, co-owner of Atascadero Crossfit.
