Atascadero Lake to get Autumn clean-up this weekend

If you love Atascadero Lake, you may want to head there this weekend to help keep it a great place to visit.

The City of Atascadero Public Works Department in association with the non-profit group "The Friends of Atascadero Lake" is hosting the First Annual Atascadero Lake Clean-Up Day on Saturday, October 12th, from 9 am to noon.

Everyone is invited to get in on the good-cause fun. The City will provide snacks and bottled water for those that participate. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves, gardening tools and their green thumbs.

The morning starts at the Lake Bandstand and will focus on trail maintenance, trash collection, weeding, trimming plants and bushes, and generally sprucing up around the Lake.

The mission of Lake Clean-Up Day is to improve water quality and the Lake environment while engaging those who love the lake in hands-on service.
