The Atascadero man accused of killing his neighbor last year has entered a dual plea.
Mark Alan Andrews, from Atascadero, previously pleaded not guilty.
During his court appearance Tuesday, he also pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
Two doctors have been appointed to evaluate his sanity. Their reports are expected to be back for review in March.
Andrews was arrested in May of 2013 and is accused of killing Colleen Marie Barga-Millbury, 52.
Authorities say he suffers from mental health issues.
Andrews is scheduled to be back in court on March 4.
