Atascadero police believe suspect fired gun at random

Police are looking into several leads after gun shots were fired Thursday morning, according to Atascadero Police Chief Jim Mulhall.

Although officials have not been successful locating the person responsible for firing the gun, police believe the shots were fired randomly as no victims have been located.

Santa Rosa Academic Academy was placed on voluntary lockdown for approximately two hours, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., while police searched for the suspect.
