Atascadero Police Officers say they have a person of interest in Thursday morning's case, in which gunshots were heard near the Santa Rosa Academic Academy.

That report of gunshots prompted a lockdown of the school at about 8:00a.m. It was later determined by officers that the shots were most likely sent into the air, and there were no victims in the case. The lockdown was lifted at the school, about 10:15a.m.

Officers say after a door-to-door search, investigators were able to hone in on one person of interest that lives in that area in which shots were heard. Officers say they've secured that person's home and are preparing to execute a search warrant. They also say they're trying to contact his employer for information.
