Atascadero sweeps boys and girls basketball doubleheader

Atascadero came out on top of both Pac-7 matchups with St. Joseph on Friday night. The host Greyhounds won the girls game, 48-46 and the boys game, 76-53.

The Atascadero girls were led by Maddie Leong who scored 14 points. The Greyhounds improve to 10-5 overall and 4-1 in the Pac-7. The Knights drop to 9-6, 2-2, they were led in scoring by Kaitlyn Flowers with 18. Atascadero trails only Pioneer Valley in the League standings.

The Atascadero boys controlled the nightcap the whole way. Robbie Berwick led the Hounds with 18 points and 4 assists. Atascadero's winning streak is now 8 games, the Greyhounds are 14-2 overall, 4-0 in the Pac-7. Keith Datu scored 32 points in a losing effort for the Knights who are now 4-11, 1-3.
