Atascadero teen paints tractor pink for breast cancer awareness

The Mid-State Fair kicks off Wednesday in Paso Robles, but people are already in the area setting up, including a local girl and her very unique tractor. 16-year-old Sarah Stafford from Atascadero is entering a restored 1948 antique tractor into the "Find It, Fix It, Win 2500" competition, and this isn't just any tractor. Stafford painted it pink as a symbol of breast cancer awareness, and she is donating the tractor to the local cancer services to use at breast cancer awareness events and fundraisers. "I started to run with the idea, and during the end of the fair last year, one of our close family friends was finishing with breast cancer, and that's how I came up with the idea with going with breast cancer, because she inspired me to do that," said Stafford. The tractor will be on display all week. The Mid-State Fair goes from July 17th through 28th.
