On Wednesday suspect Billy Benjamin Hernandez, 40, turned himself in to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's office. Deputies had been searching for Hernandez after they say he attacked a man at a home on November 1st in the 3200 block of Eagle Point Lane in Heritage Ranch.

Witnesses say Hernandez stabbed the victim multiple times then fled the scene.

Hernandez was arrested for attempted murder and is now in custody at the San Luis Obispo Jail.
