Santa Barbara County Fair officials are calling this year's fair a success, despite attendance being down from the previous year.
Fair officials say attendance was 138,300, down 14% from 2012.
They attribute a rainy first day of the fair to the lower number.
Fair officials say the Jr. Livestock Auction broke a record, bringing in $2.6 million.
A hog raised by Amber Bellrose of Lompoc Valley 4-H brought in $96,000 alone. The 257 pound hog was auctioned off as a fundraiser for the new Livestock Barn project. Amber received a $1,500 scholarship and $500 in cash from the Santa Maria Fairpark Foundation.
