Authorities make second arrest in gang shooting

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Sacramento County authorities have
made a second arrest in connnection with a gang shooting last
summer that killed a teenage girl and wounded a second girl.
The Sacramento Bee reports that 18-year-old Nikko Jermaine Alexander was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder and attempted murder in the July shooting that investigators say was sparked when members of two rival gangs started shooting at each other.
Fouteen-year-old Lanajah Dupree, described as a bystander, was killed in the shooting. A 17-year-old girl was wounded.
The arrest of Alexander is the second arrest made in the case. Twenty-year-old Jaivonne Flenory-Davis is also facing murder
charges. He's due in court for a preliminary hearing Jan. 28.
It was not known if either suspect had hired attorneys.
