Pismo Beach police officers say an autopsy is scheduled tomorrow for the body found near Ira Lease Park yesterday. A man walking near Pismo Creek discovered the body just before 3:30 p.m.

Investigators say it appears to be a 40-year-old white man, and they believe he is local, but that confirmation is pending autopsy results. Officers say the body was there for at least 2 or 3 days. Environmental trauma made it hard to determine a cause of death, so officers are still calling it suspicious.
