The Central Coast has been enjoying a lot of wine events lately, but one local town decided to mix things up a bit.
The sixth annual Avocado and Margarita Festival was held in Morro Bay over the weekend.
The event featured food and entertainment, vendors, margaritas and guacamole, and a contest for the best fiesta costume and best sombrero.
Organizers say Morro Bay has the finest avocados in California.
Participants were also able to enter into a raffle for a chance to win avocados for a year.
Organizers say this is the first year they have held the event for two days, and it seemed to be very successful.
They ran out of tickets on Saturday, and had to have more made for Sunday's event.
Some of the proceeds will be donated to the San Luis Obispo Food Bank.
This is one of the main fundraisers for the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce.
