If you've driven along Shell Beach Road, perhaps you may have noticed some art work in the form of trash barrels that sit along the road.
Well, so did vandals. A number of trash bins that were hand-painted and decorated by local artists were pushed over and damaged this past weekend.
Artists who took the time to do the work are disappointed that people would destroy something they spent a lot of time working on.
In addition to the artists' time and effort, about $7,000 in supplies and materials were donated to do the art project.
Crime-stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
