AZUSA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say testing has found high levels of bacteria at two Ventura County beaches.
The Ventura County Star reported Tuesday that the water at Surfers Point at Seaside Park in Ventura and Kiddie Beach Park in Oxnard failed to meet state standards for bacteria.
Warning signs have been posted.
The Ventura County Environmental Health says contact with ocean water at the sites should be avoided for at least 50 yards on either side of the signs.
Officials say the signs will remain posted until the ocean water quality meets state standards.
