Bail set at $500,000 for alleged San Luis Obispo shooter

Charges have not yet been filed against the 22-year-old Washington man arrested over the weekend for attempted murder.

Police say several shots were fired at a man inside a red Ford Mustang around 11:20 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Bluerock in San Luis Obispo.

The victim, who was not injured, identified his step son, Cesar Rosales, as the shooter, according to police.

He was arrested in Oceano and police say the rifle used in the incident was later found in Arroyo Grande.

Rosales remains in San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

San Luis Obispo police say the investigation is ongoing.
