It is feeling very much like winter along the Central Coast, with below normal temperature lingering on through Tuesday afternoon. Expect blustery offshore winds to also persist. There is a high wind warning over the higher terrain, and a high wind watch continues over the valleys.
There is also a freeze warning in place between 1am to 9am on Monday morning. That means temperatures are expected to drop to 28 degrees or lower for at least two consecutive hours. Another hard freeze is possible early Tuesday morning.
But, expect warmer temps to return back to the Central Coast, as an offshore flow and high pressure will bring 3 to 5 degrees above normal temperatures by Thursday.
